The Apple car is highly rated by potential buyers before it existed

A survey of new car buyers indicates that a quarter would “definitely consider” a apple carwhich more than 50% of Tesla owners have requested.

Apple hasn’t officially even hinted that it’s working on an Apple car, although the torrent of patents and regulatory documents it has filed means it’s a serious project. According to some rumors, it would be in preparation since 2014, so before the apple watch was first released, but is now expected to arrive anytime from 2024.

Maybe especially since Apple did it show off his concept for the future of CarPlay — long one key feature for new car buyers – that seems close enough that it was added to a survey.

The consulting firm in Strategic Vision reports that For nearly three decades, he’s been asking new vehicle owners both what cars they would consider and how they rate the quality of those cars. Each survey includes more than 45 cars, including those not available in the United States, and for 2022 it added the Apple car to the list.

Strategic Vision’s New Vehicle Experience Study is said to work with over 200,000 new car owners each year.

“Apple is the 3rd most-regarded brand with 26% of customers saying they would ‘definitely consider’ an Apple-branded vehicle in the future,” said Alexander Edwards, president of Strategic Vision, “just behind Toyota (38% ) and Honda (32%), followed by Ford (21%) and Tesla (20%).

“However, Apple’s strength doesn’t end there,” Edwards continued. “What should concern others is that Apple generates a greater amount of love than any other automotive company, twice that of strong brands like Honda, Toyota and Tesla.”

“For example, more than 50% of Tesla owners would “definitely consider” a future Apple vehicle; everyone should be prepared,” he said.

Some 34% were more cautious about a vehicle that doesn’t exist, choosing to select an “I don’t know enough” option in the survey. However, alongside the 26% of people saying they would definitely consider an Apple car, 24% gave “Love it” as an impression of the quality of the car.

“If others aren’t preparing for this kind of disruption today, they might ask, ‘What happened? “like when Tesla entered the market,” said Christopher Chaney, senior vice president of Strategic Vision. “All current players in the industry mostly have their own destiny.”

“If they just stay asleep spending all their ingenuity chasing electric motors, LED lighting and flat screens with thousands of apps and all the high-tech features you never dreamed of,” continued Chaney, “Apple could land the moonshot right in their sales backyard.”

At least eight years after the start of development of what is thought to be called Project Titan within Apple, there have recently been rumors that management issues.
